About Alex
Alex Muñoz has a Masters of Science in Environmental Health Sciences & Industrial Hygiene from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. While in school, his research focused on quantifying the release of particulate and chemical emissions from compact laser cutting processes. While in school, he held a position as a graduate student researcher, where he was able to assist with developing and providing various Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) trainings to car wash workers in Los Angeles. Through these experiences, Alex became passionate about equipping vulnerable workers with the tools that they need in order to identify hazards in their workplaces and how to take appropriate actions in order to preserve their health. In his free time, Alex enjoys being active through sports and exercise, and hopes to one day be able to travel all around the world.
